OUR PROCESS
Consultation
With our extensive experience providing smart technology and integrated systems we are able to provide thoughtful discussion and valuable insight about what products and solutions work best to achieve a desired result for you. We advise on what brands and technologies are reliable and which play well with others. Get up to speed on the latest innovations and trends and have your questions answered. With our collaborative approach expect to get ideas and creative suggestions on how to incorporate technology to enhance your life at home or for a business. We can even let you know what to avoid or where to proceed with caution, which can save time, money and frustration.
Design & Engineering
Comprehensive and thoughtful system design and engineering up front leads to the best balance of functionality, reliability and aesthetics in the end result. Avoid costly mistakes or change orders, having to do something twice, or tearing up walls once they've been closed. Careful attention is given to the numerous details involved with smart technology and integrated systems to ensure they are easy to use and deliver consistent performance and allow for future expansion or upgrades. Everything from wiring infrastructure, hardware location, control device placement, user interface design, power management and blending equipment with architectural elements and interiors is planned out in advance. We coordinate with architects, engineers, interior designers, general contractors, and affected sub-contractors.
Acceptance of Proposal
Once you accept the proposal and provide the appropriate deposit, we will order any product not already in stock. Once all parts for the project are on hand we will contact you to schedule the next phase. Our team will stage the equipment for your installation in our warehouse so it’ll be ready when the time comes for the installers to do what they do best – install the equipment. For some projects, we may request a walk-thru with you or your contractor on the project site to communicate and coordinate with all interested parties and subcontractors details for home automation, lighting control, window treatments and whole house audio/video systems as specified on project design documentation.
Pre-Wire & Installation
If your project is under construction, we’ll run wires and cables to various locations in your home or business during the building phases before the walls have been closed in. (Doing this prior to the drywall going up is a huge time and cost saver!) After drywall and painting is complete, we will come back to trim all wall jacks and outlets. We’ll mark and bundle the connecting cables and cut in architectual speakers. If your project is already built, we’ll use plenty of imagination and elbow grease to run the wires where they’re supposed to go without being visible.
Finish-Out & Programming
Once all the dust has settled (literally) and furniture is being moved in, we’ll put in the fun stuff, such as the flat-panel TVs on the wall. We’ll mount surveillance cameras, bring in A/V components and install motorized shades. We’ll then program the remote controls, security systems or the automation system. At this stage, you’ll be starting to get a better for feel for how you want to use your technology systems, and we will be able to make adjustments, on lighting control for example, after you’ve spent some time in your new space.
Demonstration & Support
Just as a vehicle needs regular maintenance and over time requires service or replacement of parts, the same is true with smart technology and integrated systems. We provide continued tuning and system adjustments at set time intervals based on your unique solution to maximize performance levels. When something goes wrong, which is an inevitable truth about electronics, we will be there to fix it quickly. Plus the fact that constant innovation continues to advance electronic equipment means there may be new features and enhanced performance that you will want whether it’s for the video, music, security or control in your space.
